Always recognizing the importance of awareness raising, VF AzerCredit joins the April-Month of Microfinance Initiative. The core objective of the Initiative is to boost the awareness and know-how of the students in the sphere of microfinance. For detailed information, please visit www.monthofmicrofinance.org.
Within the frame of the Initiative, VF AzerCredit will be holding workshops at 2 leading Universities of Azerbaijan – Azerbaijan University of Economics and Qafqaz University. The seminars devoted to microfinance will embrace the topics such as the emergence of microfinance institutions both in the world and Azerbaijan, their role in financial market, the share of microfinance in credit culture in society and the like. The participants will be shown local and international video materials revealing the impact of microfinance on the lives of the poor and low-income people. The students will be rewarded with the certificates by VF AzerCredit upon participation at the workshops.

VF AzerCredit challenges the interested students to take part in photo and essay contests and be active. Thus, the best 2 essays composed on the topic “The Role of Microfinance in the Development of Small Entrepreneurship” will be rewarded by VF AzerCredit. Moreover, the ones having creative approach are encouraged to join our “Microfinance in One Photo” Contest.
The Gold and Silver Winners of the contests will be awarded by our organization. The Gold Winners of both contests (2 persons in total) will be provided with an opportunity to take 3 months’ summer internship at VF AzerCredit. Silver Winners (2 persons in total) will receive 50 AZN gift cards.
